Office Fix-up Starting – Please excuse our mess!

The pastor’s office needs some sprucing up and the workers will be starting soon. Please excuse the office items that are now sitting in our Fellowship Hall. They’ll be back in the office soon. Thanks for your patience.

School Supply Collection

We are collecting School Supplies for the West Brookfield and Warren elementary schools.  Please bring your items in by August 17^th and leave them on the table in Fellowship Hall.   Thank you for your support.

July 27 Baptism Coffee Hour

The deacons have planned a special coffee hour to celebrate Everleigh’s baptism on Sunday, July 27th!  If you would like to contribute to the spread, please contact Karen Murphy and let her know what you will bring. All contributions are appreciated. Thanks.

The Flea Market is Coming in September!

Our Annual Flea Market on the W. Brookfield Common will be held on Saturday, September 13th and we are seeking vendors! Would you like to rent a 20 x 20 grassy spot on the common for $40? Crafters, vendors, tag salers and others are welcome to join in the fun! This is a great way to get rid of unneeded items and enjoy a beautiful day.

Basement Cleanout

There has been a fair amount of sorting and cleaning done in the basement of the church over the past few weeks and there are many things headed to the trash or a thrift store soon. If you have an interest, please take a look and take what you would like. If you have questions about the items, please contact Karen Murphy  – 508-801-7692.

Church Newsletter – Glad Tidings

Deadline for the August issue will be Monday, July 28th.

The Music Committee is seeking guest musicians for the summer. Soloists, groups and/or instrumentalists are all welcome. The choir will resume in September so special musical offerings would be greatly appreciated for these summer weeks. If interested, please call Chris Showalter at (508) 577-3043 for details.

As was mentioned in a previous announcement, in the weeks before our new DTP, Doug Williamson begins his ministry with us, we have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of guest speakers from the missions that our church supports. Following is the schedule for July & August.

• August 3 – Worcester Fellowship(please note: communion for August will be on 8/31)

• August 17 – St. Luke’s Guest House, Southbridge

• August 31 – Rev. Linda Michel –Communion 

*There are printed copies of our summer worship schedule located on the rear table for those who would like a paper copy.

*Remember, communion for the month of August will be held on August 31st.

Sharing Cupboard Needs:

The Sharing Cupboard is closed Wednesday, July 30^th and Thursday, July 31^st since it is the fifth week of the month.

The Sharing Cupboard is in need of more plastic shopping bags, mayo, canned peas, canned carrots, and canned green beans. Please leave all donations in the donation box at the church entry. Thank you!
